The very first days 2nd Jan – 6th Jan

“Don’t be afraid to fail, be afraid not to try. “

This was my last meal with my family before I checked in the flight. Because this is the first time I go aboard so they kind of worry about my trip.

This is us from right to left (me-Bao, An, Vy, Yen, and Huy), we checked in and did some selfies.

From Vietnam, we flew to Kuala Lumpur to transit for 2 hours. Even though it was a short time, but we still managed to have some fun at the Kuala Lumpur Airport.

We got on the plane to Penang from 5:45pm. At this time, I was so excited to meet our buddies were waiting for us at Penang Airport.

Took some pictures to send to my family to inform that I was safely arrive.
After thorns and challenges, our buddies came and we took some time to come to the “ice-breaking” session. They are extremely kind and friendly to us.
We went to a restaurant and this was the very first Malaysian food that I ate. It took me a while to get used to the taste of it.
After that, we came to the Politeknik Tuanku Sultanah Bahiyah (PTSB) to check-in our room which is a really nice one.

The second day 3rd Jan: The beginning of new experiences

Our buddies took us to the canteen to have breakfast before we were going to meet the Top Management of the PTSB. At the canteen, we met Ms. Azhani and Ms. Julia who extremely care and enthusiastic with us.

That was such a pleasure and honor for me to had a chance to meet Ms. Yusma Yusof – The director of PTSB and Mr. Yusaini.

We visited the library of PTSB which is a huge one.

After that, we went to the mechanical workshop to see and try what the students are studying at PTSB. In Vietnam, there’s not many girls who study mechanical, but it’s completely opposite in PTSB.
Me trying to be cool
We had a chance to go to sightseeing the student’s work which are exhibited in a room.
At 2pm, we met Mr. Encik Zainosli to brief some important regulations of the PTSB about the accommodation.

Finally, we went to the Kulim Night Market which is called
Pasar Malam Kelang Lama in Malaysia with our buddies. We ate a lot of food

4th Jan – PolyRace Warrior – The best activity I ever participated

At 8AM, we gathered at the PTSB’s sport center to get ready for the game. 5 of us were divided in to different teams. Here’s the rule of the game, there are 13 stations, each station has a challenge which each team has to join to collect the stamps. The winner will be the one which has the most stamps. Unfortunately, my team came in 4th place. But the most important thing was I had made a lot of new friends and we all had fun together.
This was the first time I met them, at that time we didn’t know that we were going to get close to each other. They are extremely friendly, enthusiastic, sociable and kind. Maybe I’m going to miss them when this internship program is over.

In the afternoon, we went out to find a coffee shop in Kulim, but we found it kind of hard to find a suitable coffee shop in Kulim. Finally, with the dedicated guidance of Mr. Google, we found one.

Cool, right? and this is how we took this picture.
And then we ate the Oblong (It’s a kind of hamburger). It was really yummy hamburger that I’ve ever tried.
The price wasn’t too expensive but it was really good though. Then, we walked around and got back to our hostel at 10pm.

5th Jan – A trip to Aman Island

I and my roommates (Huy) woke up at 7AM to get things ready for the trip. At 8AM, all the students showed up and we took a picture together.

The weather was so hot and i couldn’t even open my eyes 😂😂😂😂
We were on the way to the Aman island.

After that we were divided into 3 teams, each team had a task to do. However, before we embarked on work. Up and I had taught my teammates how to count from 0 to 10 in Vietnamese. It was a memorable memory.

And then here was what we did, paint the wall.

We had lunch at 1:30PM and got some rests til 3PM.

In the afternoon, we had a chance to go sightseeing the Malaysians cooking their traditional cakes. I must say I couldn’t stop crushing these cakes because it tastes amazing.

6th Jan – Kulim Giant Mall

Today, there is no school’s activity for us. So we’re going to the Kulim Central Mall to sightseeing and buy some personal stuff.

We also wanted to make some dishes on our own and invite our buddies to come and join with us. Therefore, we decided to make spaghetti and tuna salad. We had bought the ingredients when we were at the Kulim Giant mall.

We also had a chance to humiliated each other, because none of us was good at bowling.

Huy was the master chef for those dishes, I had to admit that he’s good at cooking.
